Fiona Shuttleworth
| MA | VetMB | MRCVS
Day 1 – 22nd September
Impact of the Animal Welfare (Import of Dogs, Cats and Ferrets) Act
Fiona graduated in 2021 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Cambridge. Following 18 months in small animal practice in west London and a volunteering programme working with orangutans in Borneo, Fiona became Lord Trees’s sixth parliamentary researcher from 2023–2025. Fiona uses the skills and knowledge she picked up in Parliament, particularly focusing on methane emissions from ruminants, in her work now as a veterinarian for Zelp, an agri-tech start-up based in London. Fiona has been an OV since 2022 and still regularly exports London’s pets as a side hustle!
