Your questions answered
How do I buy a ticket?
You can buy a ticket once you have registered on the Conference Platform. Delegates who attended the 2022 event will already be registered and need only log in. Tickets cost £180 (including VAT). Students and One Health Capacity Building (OHCB) delegates should contact us for further information and a discount code.
Do I have to be an OV to purchase a ticket?
No, tickets are available for anyone with an interest to purchase. Students and One Health Capacity Building (OHCB) delegates should contact us for further information and a discount code.
I am a student. Can I purchase a ticket?
Yes. If you are a student and would like to buy a ticket, please contact us for a discount code.
I do not know yet if I will be able to attend – is there a cut-off date for buying tickets or a limited number of tickets available?
No, there is no limit or cut-off date for booking a place, so you will still be able to buy your ticket once the Conference has started if you wish to. Recordings will also be available after the event for those unable to attend all of the live sessions.
How do I access the OV Conference Online?
After you have registered and bought a ticket, you will have immediate access to the Conference Platform, so you can log in and explore it whenever you wish to. Links to each of the sessions can be found under the relevant day and session in ‘My programme’ on the Conference Space or via the top navigation bar. Recordings of the sessions will be available to access for at least six months after the event.
How many CPD hours am I able to claim?
You can claim 18 hours of CPD from attendance at the whole OV Conference Online (all sessions) or by watching the recorded presentations after the event.
Where will I find the CPD certificates for the presentations (or recordings) I watch?
You can claim separate Digital CPD Certificates for each day that you attend, or for each day of recordings that you watch. You will be able to access these after completing short feedback questionnaires on the Conference Platform at the end of each day. Once certificates are made available, you may download or print them as you wish.
You can view all of your certificates on your online profile by clicking on your name in the top right of the Conference Platform, then going to ‘My certificates’ under ‘Miscellaneous’.
What if I have technical problems during the Conference?
There will be plenty of technical support available throughout the Conference. In the worst case, if you miss any live presentations, you can catch up by watching the recorded versions afterwards.
To join the live presentations, a stable internet connection is required (PC/Mac: minimum 10 Mbit ADSL or fibre; smartphone: 4G connection). It is preferable to use an ADSL or fibre connection, however, if you are intending to use your smartphone/4G network, we would recommend that you first check your data plan (Gigabytes available) to avoid incurring unpleasant charges. We also recommend that you download the Zoom app on the device that you plan to use. If you are struggling to access any of the sessions during the Conference, please contact us.
I missed a live presentation – what can I do?
Those who purchased tickets to the live event will have access to the recordings after the event, so you can catch up on any presentations you missed. You can access recordings by logging in to the Conference Platform and viewing your programme.
