  • Graduated from Cambridge University in 1996. MAVet MB with merits in farm animal medicine and equine medicine. Awarded “Final Year Student of the Year” prize, 1996 and John Walton Prize from the Pig Veterinary Society 1996
  • Lifetime experience with livestock on the family farm (200 cattle)
  • Member of the British Modern Pentathlon Team 1990-98 and medallist at European and World Championships
  • Preventative medicine approach to herd management and specific  cattle veterinary skills in ultrasound and manual pregnancy diagnosis; cattle surgery; bull semen analysis
  • Centre vet for UK’s largest AI breeding company in charge of three studs and their isolation facilities
  • Part of Larkmead Veterinary Group pig team advising on preventative health and management for over 30,000 breeding sows and their associated weaners, growers and finishers across the south of England
  • Part of the team chosen to deliver the Pig Health Improvement Programme  in conjunction with BPEX
  • Delivered numerous training events for farm owners and stockmen on a variety of veterinary health and livestock management topics
  • Module 1 NVS qualified
