Emily Chapman-Waterhouse

Emily joined the staff at Harper Adams as the AMTRA Project Coordinator in 2006. In 2008, she was appointed Business Development Manager and in 2012, took up an academic post with what was the Animals Department (now Veterinary Health & Animal Sciences).

Emily was recognised as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in May 2015. To date, Emily has been recognised through the ASPIRE Excellence Awards several times over the last decade, where her distinctive impact within the University has been in relation to Workforce Development (WD). Emily’s area of expertise focuses on developing in-subject reflective practice of students on animal- and veterinary-related routes and pedagogic practice of staff via a flexible curriculum. Those experiences have afforded her the privilege to directly impact the learning experience of more than 1,000 students and raise the profile of higher education teaching and learning practice nationally and internationally.
